Disney resort hotels are one of my favorite things about Walt Disney World. Ever since I was little, they have felt like a home away from home. I have so many fond memories with my family at the resorts and each resort Ive stayed at holds a special place in my heart (especially Port Orleans Riverside). I try to spend as much time at the resorts as possible which usually just means walking the grounds, taking in the scenery, and grabbing a bite to eat.
A funny tidbit about Wilderness Lodge – this resort is actually what sparked my obsession with Disney. For anyone who remembers Samantha Brown from the travel channel… I watched her shows religiously. It was a Great Hotels episode featuring Disney’s Wilderness Lodge that prompted me to start researching anything and everything Disney. I was enthralled by Disney ever since my first vacation, but that show got me hooked once I realized just how much WDW had to offer.
Anyways, that being said, here is a typical weekend day in my life. Resort hopping and a little Disney Park Magic.
My boyfriend & I started by having breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe. I ordered Chad’s Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Pancakes & Nick ordered the breakfast skillet. After breakfast, we took some time to walk around and explore as well as take a peek at all the construction progress on the DVC villas.
And then it was off to Hollywood Studios!!
